Music & the Arts

The Ashokan Center has cultivated music and art in the community and beyond for decades. We incorporate the concepts of art and music into our school and community educational programs and partner with musicians and cultural organizations to host music and arts events and exhibitions on our campus.

Ashokan Music & Dance

Ashokan has been home to Jay Ungar and Molly Mason’s music and dance camps for adults and families since 1980. These world renowned camps are a place where people come together to become better fiddlers, guitarists, mandolin players, uke players, percussionists, singers, dancers, and teachers.

Ashokan Music and Dance also organizes and produces multiple concerts and dances throughout the year on the Ashokan Center’s indoor and outdoor stages.
