The 2016 Winter Hoot
With music, dancing, food, film, art and nature activities for all ages, the 4th Annual Winter Hoot welcomes the community, one and all, for a spirit-raising good time in mid-winter! Hear world-class musical acts from our Hudson Valley region and beyond, like Ana Egge, Jeffrey Lewis, Bill Harley, Jay Ungar & Molly Mason, The Mike + Ruthy Band, Elizabeth Mitchell, Gustafer Yellowgold, and more. Come for a few hours or the whole weekend – tickets are pay what you can. Indoor lodging is available in the comfortable Longhouse and Red Maple Lodge rooms. We need volunteers to help with parking, door, kitchen, EMT and more – please volunteer and help the hoot!
Proceeds from the Hoots support The Ashokan Center’s outdoor environmental education programs, facility improvements, and ongoing community outreach.
If you love Ashokan’s Pewter Shop and it’s renowned acoustics, join the “Pewter Posse” for a special festival kick-off in the Pewter Shop on Friday at 5pm with happy hour beverages and beautiful waltzes by Jay & Molly. Your VIP ticket for this intimate event will help the Winter Hoot reach its fund raising goal of $20,000 to restore this jewel of a building. Learn more, or purchase a “Pewter Posse” ticket here. If you can’t attend, please consider making a donation here. All donations are tax deductible.
