Harvest Home Weekend

Jay & Molly will teach and jam tunes and songs from their celebrated 1999 album! Attend virtually or join Jay & Molly and a limited number of students onsite at Ashokan!

THE ONLINE CAMP EXPERIENCE is live and interactive via Zoom and archived for a full year, so you can take classes again, or catch anything missed!

THE ONSITE CAMP EXPERIENCE is limited to just 12 students with social-distancing and face-coverings required. Stay in a comfy, sanitized private room. Lodging rates include all meals for two, so consider bringing friends or family for a Catskills getaway and a chance to hike Ashokan’s beautiful trails, or visit nearby attractions.

  • 7:30pm Concert Jay & Molly perform music from their Harvest Home album!
  • Waltzes & Airs Jam Play-along by ear, follow downloadable sheet music, or just sit back and listen!

SATURDAY

  • 11am-12pm Learn “Prairie Spring”  A deep dive into the music and nuances of the tune. Learn melody with Jay and accompaniment with Molly!
  • 3-4pm Learn “Bound For Another Harvest Home”  A deep dive into the music and nuances of the tune. Learn melody with Jay and accompaniment with Molly!
  • 5-6pm Happy Hour A fun, casual virtual hang-out
  • 7-8:30pm Camper Open-Mic Tune Share All are invited to share a tune or song via Zoom.
  • 8:30-10pm “The Making Of Harvest Home” Jay & Molly’s “behind the scenes” stories about creating the music and recording the album.

SUNDAY

  • 10-11:30am Farewell Jam Play-along by ear, follow downloadable sheet music, or just sit back and listen!

  • 6-7 DINNER

The Ashokan Center builds community through shared experiences in nature, history, music and art. For 40 years we have hosted traditional Music & Dance Camps at our 385 nature preserve. This year we have learned how to host them online!
