Music & Dance Camps
Since 1980 our camps have been a destination and a home-away-from-home for music and dance enthusiasts of all ages who are eager to delve deeper into tradition and self expression. Whether you are a beginner, a professional, or somewhere in between, Ashokan is a place to leave the cares of the world behind, expand your abilities, sing, dance, and play with new friends! Musical weeks or weekends on site?
In July & August we are working to develop a few relaxing weeks or weekends for adults and families with private lodging, camping, outdoor dining, jamming, hiking, and a some concerts or classes. In the meantime, we have launched the following Online Weekend Music Camps in May & June:
Alasdair Fraser & Natalie Haas lead Scottish fiddle, cello, and more. Deepen your playing, build your repertoire, make new friends, and heighten the expression in your playing.
Peter Davis hosts an online week of workshops for guitarists of all levels. Come away with new repertoire and techniques, a reinvigorated sense of direction and purpose, and a greater confidence and joy in making music on your guitar!
Whether you are a seasoned player, you love sing-alongs, or have always wanted to learn your first folk instrument, this camp is for you! Instruction will encompass all ability levels, and all instruments are welcome.
