The Ashokan Center is a nonprofit environmental education center and conference/retreat facility on 385 acres in rural Ulster County, NY. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
Ashokan has a long-standing history of outdoor education, traditional music & dance education, and both private & community events. Each year our educational overnight and day programs for schools serve close to 5,000 students from urban, suburban and rural areas. Our new campus buildings were constructed for efficient energy use and we have receive 100% of our electricity from solar since 2018. We commit to a zero carbon footprint by 2030.
