We will look at a couple of ways of accompanying Northern tunes, specifically Irish and Breton music; you can test drive your Breton chops at the Soirée Française!

This class will focus on the style of accompaniment pioneered by the Carter Family. Originating in the South, this has become widespread in many types of music, and is a foundational technique for all guitarists interested in roots-based and roots-influenced musics.
