Fall Foraging Workshop

September 15, 2024

3-5pm meet in upper parking lot

Explore our edible landscape with Ashokon outdoor educator and ecologist Del Orloske. Join Del on a guided hike to look for wild edibles and medicinal plants around us this fall.  You will learn tips for identifying different plants and their uses and also get to try some of the edibles during the program.

Del Orloske M.A.L.D., B.E.S. is an NY State DEC License Guide, a certified Nutritional Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and an ecological designer of native habitats. He is a passionate and avid forager who explores the wonders of wild plants for healing.

This is primarily an outdoor program, so please be prepared for moderate hiking with stopping for observations along the way.  This event is rain or shine. All ages welcome.

Event proceeds support The Ashokan Center’s ongoing work to inspire learning and build community through shared experiences in nature, history, music, and art. Learn more: Educational Field Trips • Music & Dance Camps • Weddings & Retreats
