RESCHEDULED: Rain-fed Shower

At long last, a 1500 gallon rain tank has arrived unscathed, vines are cleared, the gutter is up, and we are all joining in to learn permaculture principles from Andrew Faust and set up a rain-fed shower! Will you lend a hand? Sign up for FREE (enter $0) or make a donation.

Ever wanted to water your garden or shower outdoors with an energy-efficient, off-grid rainwater collection system? Come help Ashokan and learn how at this FREE hands-on workshop led by Andrew Faust. Join in the fun, ask questions, and take important knowledge back to your own back yard.

10am-2pm BYO work gloves & picnic lunch!

Help construct an outdoor rainwater-fed shower with permaculture designer and educator Andrew Faust from the Center for Bioregional Living. For those who take the rainwater catchment and spring-development classes this class will round out your off-grid water knowledge.

Having multiple back-ups for single essential functions is a core principle of Permaculture. Rain tanks help to limit your use of fossil fuels and give true water independence.

Did you know? The Hudson Valley receives an average of 41.9″ of rainfall annually. With 2-4 inches to be harvested monthly, rainwater catchment is key to water security in your home and community!

Please dress for the weather with sturdy footwear (waterproof if you have them) and bring work gloves and a picnic lunch.
