Dine, dance, or just enjoy a great evening of Cajun, Créole, Zydeco, and Old Time string band music under Ashokan’s outdoor pavilion! Learn dance basics and then join in the square dance, Cajun, and Zydeco party.
Register in advance for camping and breakfast options. This public event kicks off Ashokan’s Southern Week Camp (Sunday, August 13th – Saturday, August 19th, 2023).

7:00pm: Mini-Concert with Sparky & Rhonda Rucker and Alice Gerrard
8:00pm: Cajun Dance with RACINES (Steve Riley, Kevin Wimmer, Mitch Reed and Luke Huval)
9:30pm: Zydeco Dance with JEFFERY BROUSSARD & THE CREOLE COWBOYS

BBQ chicken or BBQ tofu and vegetable kebabs, roasted potato wedges, coleslaw, corn on the cob (butter on the side), green salad with a choice of balsamic or Italian dressing, dinner rolls, cookies, lemonade, iced tea, and coffee

add Lodging and Breakfast $45 (only available to those who’ve purchased lodging for the week-long camp and want to move in a night early)
Advance sales end at midnight the night before the event. Dance and Dinner Tickets are available at the Door.
Why drive home? Bring your own tent and sleeping bag and dance the night away! Advance registration required for all overnight packages. Breakfast served at 10am on Sunday morning.
Everyone attending this event (and the weeklong camp which follows) is required to test themselves prior to arrival. Stay home if you test positive, if you have Covid exposure within 6 days of this event, or if you don’t feel well!
