What an incredible day for the Ashokan Center community.
Thanks to the generosity of 173 supporters during Hudson Valley Gives 2026, together we raised more than $80,000 in support of Ashokan’s mission and programs.
Community members from across the Hudson Valley and beyond came together to support outdoor education, music and arts programming, community events, scholarships, and shared experiences that continue to bring people together through nature, history, music, and art.
A major part of this year’s success came through the generosity of longtime Ashokan volunteer, camper, and supporter Marianne Kearney, whose matching gift inspired others to give and helped double the impact of donations throughout the day. Additional matching supporters also joined in to help us surpass our original goal.
One of the most meaningful moments of the day came from the “Quiet Room” community. Sixty-one supporters helped raise an additional $3,156 through the Quiet Room campaign, creating an uplifting and joyful close to Hudson Valley Gives. The outpouring of love and encouragement for Jay, Molly, and the Ashokan community was deeply felt by all of us.
We are also incredibly grateful to the eleven individuals who created personal fundraising pages and encouraged friends and family to support Ashokan through their own networks. Grassroots support like this is a powerful reminder of how deeply this community cares about the future of the Center.
Every gift made during Hudson Valley Gives helps ensure that Ashokan remains a place where children, adults, families, artists, students, musicians, dancers, and nature lovers can gather, learn, create, and connect.
To everyone who donated, shared the campaign, created fundraisers, volunteered, or helped spread the word: thank you.
Your support makes this work possible, and we are deeply grateful to have you as part of the Ashokan story.
