Bill Warnes was always interested in eating different types of cuisine, so naturally, cooking was the next step. He attended Boces in high school and then Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI. After returning home to Long Island and working in local restaurants, Bill moved to the Hudson Valley, started a family, and continued to work in local restaurants. After deciding it was time to open his own place, he spent over 10 years feeding people in Phoenicia, NY, and Kingston, NY. Bill decided he needed to spend more time with his two amazing sons, and once again was cheffing in local places. Upon discovering the Ashokan Center and the amazing people it attracted, as well as the beautiful scenery, Bill felt he found his home. You will find him there in the kitchen, cooking for and talking to all the wonderful people who also enjoy the Ashokan Center.
