On Friday, August 1st, we wrapped up another unforgettable season of Ashokan Arts & Adventure Camp, and what a summer it was!

For four weeks, over 30 campers from My Kingston Kids (ages 7–13) joined us for days full of music, nature, and hands-on adventure. Some campers stayed with us for the whole month, while others rotated in week by week, bringing fresh energy and excitement to each session.

From canoeing and archery to gorge hikes, shelter building, and gaga ball, our young explorers got to experience the best of Ashokan’s natural beauty while building teamwork, confidence, and friendships. Guest educators—including Krista Speroni with music and games, and other talented collaborators—added their own spark to the daily rhythm of camp.

One highlight of this summer was Smoothie Day with Outdoor Educator Del Orloske. Campers toured Ashokan’s garden, picked fresh fruits and vegetables, and then blended them into delicious smoothies. It was a joyful, hands-on way to connect with the land and taste the rewards of working with nature.

As Camp Director James Boyd and our dedicated staff reminded us each day, camp is about more than activities—it’s about belonging, discovery, and joy. We’re so grateful to our campers, families, staff, and volunteers who made Ashokan Arts & Adventure Camp 2025 a season to remember.

Until next summer—thank you for being part of the Ashokan community!
